Meet Bob Hartt

Robert W. Hartt is the Managing Member of Hartt Realty Advisors, LLC. Bob has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience managing a wide range of real estate projects, from million square foot office and retail projects to small mixed-use projects.

During the real estate crisis in the late 80s and early 90s, Bob was a distressed real estate specialist with J.E. Robert Companies, the premiere restructuring company during that cycle. He subsequently was a workout specialist with Bank of Boston and Sumitomo Life Realty. Bob has restructured and re-positioned real estate assets totaling more than $3 billion.

When the real estate market returned to growth, Bob worked for two of the Tri-state region's most prominent real estate investment and operating companies. As executive vice president of The Ashforth Companies, Bob oversaw a portfolio of nine million square feet. Ashforth was ranked in the top 1% of management service providers nationally during Bob's tenure.

As executive vice president of Building and Land Technology, Bob oversaw a portfolio of 5.5 million square feet and led the project team in re-positioning and restructuring the 1.2 million square foot Antares portfolio, the most significant re-positioning project in the region during this last real estate downturn.

Bob is a licensed sales agent in Connecticut. He was appointed by Mayor Dan Malloy as a director of the Stamford Energy Improvement District, he serves as a director of the Boys and Girls club, and is a past director of the Fairfield County chapter of NAIOP. Bob is a member and past director of the Fairfield/Westchester Real Estate Finance Association and a past president of the Southern Connecticut Building Owners and Managers Association.

Bob earned a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. in Business Administration from Hope College in Holland, MI.
